Donate to the Friends of Rathbun Annual Drive!

Make a Tax-Free Donation to the Friends of Rathbun.
100% of proceeds benefit the Rathbun Free Memorial Library!

The Friends of Rathbun is a volunteer group that supports the Library in a variety of ways, such as fund-raising events or donating volunteer hours in The Book Nook. Through their time and talents, the Friends help the Library expand its programs and services to our community of patrons and town residents.

Where Does the Money Go?
The Friends contribute funds quarterly so that the Library can purchase newspapers, magazines and museum passes, as well as underwriting other services such as the public copier.

Fridays at 5:30 Summer Speaker Series
This is a special program that the Friends coordinate each summer, bringing such notable writers as Dominick Dunne, Lary Bloom and other writers to the Library for a convivial, informative time on the Back Lawn. Other activities on a yearly basis are the Annual Plant Sale in May and book sales at the Farmers' Market throughout the summer months.

The Book Nook
The Book Nook is our used book sale room that the Friends maintain in the lower level of the Library, and each year these sales generate additional funds that help the Library.

How Do I Become a Friend?
Simply stop by the Library and pick up a membership form -- it is that simple!
